About Praia de Loule Velho

Praia de Loule Velho lies west of Quarteira between Forte Novo and Vale do Lobo, where the urban coast gives way to ochre cliffs, dunes and pine-backed ground. Its broad sand and quieter access create a natural-looking transition between the town beaches and the Golden Triangle resorts.

The Landscape

Fine pale sand extends below low warm-coloured cliffs, pine woodland and scattered development set back from the water. The eastern view becomes more urban towards Forte Novo, while the western horizon gradually takes on the red-cliff character of Vale do Lobo.
